Agitated Nutsche Filter's ANF

S2 Engineering (S2) provide a full turnkey sevice for Agitated Nutsche Filter's (ANF's) from design and manufacture to assembly, installation and commissioning. Our ANF product range also includes the manufacture of modular Filter Dryers (ANFD's)
Like our ANFD's, our modular ANF's are innovatively designed and engineered to help improve plant operational processes efficiency. We can also provide ANF's with barrier isolator (Glove box) technology for contained discharge and/or charging operations. See our Group Isolator company
We are experienced in process media filtration and provide equipment with high levels of safety and quality that meets all appropriate industry regulations.Our ANF's feature a differential mixing agitator and paddle that moves vertically for a thorough mix performance. The filter drier agitator consists of a series of sharp curved blades that achieves mixing penetration into difficult cakes without undue product stress. While moving and lifting the cake media around the internal clearances within the filter, agitation mixing efficiency is achieved through differential velocities. Once processed through the filtered product slurry can then sent/pumped to subsequent operations or storage vessels.

ANF Benefits

The ANF multipurpose agitator and filter solution with an unique feature being that the agitator performs a number of operations through movement in axes both parallel and perpendicular to the shaft.
This filter is mostly employed on non harduous materials, where operators are not exposured to harmful vapours when processing solvents and other potent substances. The ANF provides filtration under vacuum or pressure in a closed-loop system, a sealed vessel where solids can be discharged straightaway. The key benefits of the S2 ANF solution include;

  • Slurry contents are kept fluidized until most of the mother liquor is filtered.
  • The cake can be washed after filtration by reslurrying the cake, within an automated production cycle within the vessel.
  • After washing, the mother liquor can be refiltered. The cake can then be discharged by lowering the agitator and rotating it in such a manner that it brings all the cake towards the discharge port. The S2 solution minimizes any waste cake through innovative equipment design.
  • Versatility is achieved in filtration, washing and re-slurring with complete automation

ANF Supply Options

  • Single piece – Monoblock design
  • Dual Piece – Detachable bottom type
  • Bayonet Design for holding the shell and bottom bed. This avoids the complete C clamp arrangement
  • CE (one piece lid/body) and AE (removable lid for cleaning) models are available
  • Variable Speed Drive Electric Motor for reduced equipment energy consumption.

Alternate Materials of Construction: In addition to various grades of Stainless Steel (304, 316 and 416), ANFD's can be supplied in a number of different materials of construction including Alloy 20, Titanium, Alloy 22 and Alloy C276 (Hastelloy C).
Chemical Resistant Coatings: Compared to exotic alloy materials, chemical resistant coatings provide a lower coat of supply solution when processing highly aggressive substances. Our StanCoat high chemical resistant coating is an example of such a coating and this is also conducive for food grade applications.
