Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers are employed to remove (or add) heat from the process fluid in order to make it more suitable for processing operations.
Occasionally the process fluid is highly corrosive, so exotic alloy materials of construction are required.
The 4m long shell and tube heat exchanger shown to the right is manufactured from Grade 2 Titanium for this very reason. It was designed and manufactured by S2 in May 2019 for a complex application in South India.
